When someone searches for a plumber, they really want a local plumber….
Some people click on the ads but very few…
Most people skip over the paid ads at the top of the page and head down to the Maps listing…
That’s where the majority of those 210 people will click on…
Those who don’t, the remaining will head down to the top 3 spots on the local search results…
You do the math…
The biggest rewards come from the Map listing…
When you get listed on Google for a bunch of these local plumbing keywords you won’t be able to keep up with all the calls coming in…

And top that up with your content creation that answers all the questions that your customers have…
Because the one who can answer their questions is the one who will gain their trust…
And ultimately their business…
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit it…
This is a ton of work…
But that’s what makes it such a great way to advertise your plumbing business…
Let me tell you about plumbers…
They’re so bloody lazy that 99% will never do this…
Relax, I can say this, I’m a plumber…
Anyway, this is a great thing because when you do it, you’ll take over your whole neighbourhood and the competitors won’t even try to stop you…

Hook up with other local businesses that serve the same customer as you…

So what you do is, make a list of other businesses in your area who have your same customer but don’t compete directly with you…
Don’t contact another plumber and see if they have work they don’t want…
A great businesses to partner with would be…
- Gutter cleaner
- Roofer cleaner
- Handyman
- House cleaner
The list goes on…
You want businesses that will come across plumbing issues and can recommend your business to their client…
The gutter cleaner and the roof cleaner will come across gutter leaks and roof leaks all day…
The handyman and the house cleaner will constantly come across leaking toilets or leaking showers…
Call them up and ask if they come across any plumbing problems could they recommend your company…
There’s a heap of businesses that will gladly send the customer your way because it makes them look good to their customers for putting them in touch with the plumber…
And everyone struggles to find a good plumber…
But you could make this more effective by either offering to pay them for each customer they send you or you could send customers their way as well…
It just depends on what works better for the other business…
